Love Lost in the Sea

Walking on, the edge drowning in the sea,
the whales hid beneath, the waves clashed above,
she went along to the end with me,
walking on, the edge drowning in the sea.
A happier man there could not be
until Poseidon broke our love,
walking on the edge, drowning in the sea,
the whales hid beneath, the waves clashed above.

Crawling in the fire, she could not hold on
to the things she held so dear.
Around her amassed the evil spawn
crawling in the fire -- she could not hold on
to the Dark Lord's throne that He danced upon,
falling through the water of which she had no fear.
Crawling in the fire, she could not hold on
to the things she held so dear.

All that was left was the rag of her dress
gripped so tightly in my trembling hands.
There was only my goose-bumped skin, there was no mess.
All that was left was the rag of her dress
there was no more, there was no less.
Just a man standing on the wide sands.
All that was left was the rag of her dress
gripped so tightly in my trembling hands.
